Flower Center Crochet Pattern

I love this flower center and use it on almost all of my flowers.  I thought I would share it here for everyone to enjoy.

1. With H hk and chosen yarn, leaving a length of tail for sewing, ch 4. In 4th ch from hk work a tr cluster.  (Tr Cluster: Yo 2 times, insert hook in st, yo, pull through st, (yo, pull through 2 lps on hook) 2 times, *yo 2 times, insert hook in same st, yo, pull through st, (yo, pull through 2 lps on hook) 2 times; repeat from * to * 1 more time, yo, pull through all 4 lps on hk. )

2. Leaving a length of tail for sewing, cut yarn and pull through loop on hook.

3. Using tails and yarn needle, sew the flower center to the middle of flower.

4. Weave tails to the back of flower, knot yarn, cut and weave in. Arrange sts to make the flower center puff out.  Enjoy!  :-)

Great Crochet Tip - Yarn Unraveling

When using a yarn that splits or unravels easily, leave a cut end a little longer than usual and tie a knot in the end. Cut the knot off later when you weave in the end.
